Stylist Website was created quickly in response to Covid, when London commuters could no longer receive their paper edition outside tube stations.
Having seen the success of the website and monetisation through advertisement, they wanted to rebuild the website to look more fresh and modern but also using an atomic design system to future proof it.
-
Research - This has been completed by a previous Product Designer
Idea generation - As a team generated new features, discussed tech feasibility and hashed out all of our ideas, including stakeholders when possible, to ensure we were reading from the same hymn book.
Wireframes - Taking previous research into consideration and the idea generation sessions, i created prototype wireframes to present back to the team and stakeholders.UI Design - Once wireframes were signed off, I started to apply the Stylist branding across the wireframes to turn them into fully fledged interfaces.
Atomic Style Guide - Once i had sign off on the overall look and feel for the website, I begun creating the atomic style guide using the standard methodology and then applying this across all page designs.

The Children’s Spy Agency teaches kids STEM skills through games and story telling. To support the printed story book published by Walker, we wanted to create an app which children could sign upto, as agents and complete spy missions.
-
Concepts & Storytelling - To ensure brand and story continuity across all products the process was very collaborative, working with copy writers, the author (Sophie Deen), game designers and STEM professionals to ensure we were creating educational content.
Wireframes - I worked closely with our UX designer to create wireframes which would allow us to clearly play back the user experience to stakeholders.
Testing - Testing the designs with children is a very sensitive area. With the support of existing customers we would regularly send out surveys for usability and design feedbackUI design - I worked on applying the Children’s Spy Agency look and feel to the app, adding in fun elements and animations to bring the design to life
